This spring I was fortunate to visit many beaches, on a cruise in the Mediterranean, visiting family in New England and here in Florida. One thing all these beaches had in common, sun umbrellas!
I also spotted many people reading in the shade created by their umbrellas. A good book is a universal way to enjoy time near the ocean.
This work celebrates all the peaceful happiness of being at the beach.
With a handy triangle craft punch, I made many different triangles from pieces of my handmade paper. Making the umbrellas from my own art was endlessly entertaining. I made many more umbrellas than would fit on the wooden panel.
