Hi, I'm Reen. Here is my story.
From my first box of 64-crayons, ART and I were best friends. From preschool through college we were tight. Sadly, after college, real life kept me busy. ART and I lost touch.
Life finally slowed down in 2019, when I was diagnosed and treated for breast cancer, I have been cancer free for the last 5 years. Recently, the desire to be near family and find an art community, lead me to relocating to Florida.
With renewed energy, I began taking local art classes, visiting art galleries, shopping art stores and painting at my kitchen table. -

My Artist Statement
Today, as an abstract painter based in Florida, my love of blue skies, deep orange-pink sunsets, turquoise oceans, wildflowers, swimming and beach days with family, can all be found in my colorful, energetic and joyous art.
My paintings energy comes from my love of water activities, including lap swimming, snorkeling, hanging with family and friends at the beach and watching the sun rise or set over the ocean.
I begin my paintings by trying different color combinations on small pieces of paper. When the colors express a compelling sense of place and feeling, I move to a large canvas or wood panel. Using a scraper and palette knife, I apply vibrant acrylic paints. -
