Beach trips don’t guarantee beach weather, but that doesn’t stop me from enjoying a day by the ocean. Many times, I have found myself on the beach with a towel wrapped around my legs, keeping cozy, while reading a carefully chosen beach book and having a great day.
The colorful collage paper used for this art includes marks created with palette knives, silicon wedges and my hands smearing leftover paint across palette paper. I rarely use painted brushes.
The background is a full page of experimenting with colors and kitchen utensils to drag the paint in different ways. The hat is from vintage wall paper.
