A great vacation feeling is walking through the door of a rental, putting down your bags and relaxing. I tried to embrace that feeling with this art.
At home, I don’t have a view of the ocean. When I travel, I always try to have a sea view, especially a from a higher angle. Between trips to the beach and pool, I spend all my time looking out at the water.
The is collage is made from all torn up smaller paintings, wasi tape for the curtains and a piece of plastic grid for the floor.
Using only items I have on hand pushes my creativity and using abstraction always the viewer a way into their memories and feelings.
